The seminar will focus on some non parametric multivariate procedures, such as the interaction
structure analysis (ISA), partial least squares (PLS) methods and the dynamic factor model (DFM).
The seminar is meant for researchers or postgraduate students working in research conditions not
allowing the use of parametric statistics or for researchers handling qualitative variables. The
theme of the seminar addresses different topics, such as the evaluation of medical,
psychotherapeutic or pedagogical interventions or the study of factors fluctuating over time in
economy.
The invited keynote speakers will be international specialists. Besides, computer based workshops
will be organized and free papers centered on research results will be presented.
The conference will take place at the Limpertsberg Campus of the University of Luxembourg,
and will be organised by the Applied
Mathematics Unit of the Faculty for Law, Economics and Finance.
